King Midas was very greedy. Gold was more important to him than his own family.
What did King Midas love most?
One day King Midas met a genie.
"You may have one wish," said the genie.

King Midas wished that everything he touched would turn to gold!
His wish came true.
What can King Midas do now?
King Midas became very rich, but he was not happy.
He couldn't smell the gold flowers from his garden.
He couldn't eat gold food!
King Midas's daughter was very sad.
He gave her a hug and she turned to gold!
What happened to King Midas's daughter?
King Midas asked the genie, "Please take back my wish! My daughter is worth more to me than gold."
The genie said, "I will."
What does the King love most now?
Now King Midas was very happy.
He had learned that love, not gold, really makes a person rich!
