Each number on an analog clock represents a 5-minute step. The marks between the numbers allow you to tell time up to the minute.

 

 

Different Ways to Tell Time

1. Here's how to tell the number of minutes after an hour.

Start at the 12. Count ahead by 5-minute steps.
